WHO do we serve?

Our preschool program is funded through the Statewide Voluntary Preschool Grant. Our program is free to families and available to students who meet these eligibility requirements:

1. Age: Children must be four years of age on or before September 15 of the current school  year.
2. Address: Children must reside at an address within the Ankeny Community School District, or in a household already open-enrolled to the district.

Children who qualify for an Individual Education Plan (IEP) for Special Education services, with goals beyond speech only, are eligible at the date of their third birthday.

Students who are five years of age on or before September 15 of the current school year are not eligible for our preschool program, but are eligible for Kindergarten at one of our ten elementary schools. Click here to find your neighborhood school.
